Manchester-based corporate training in neurodiversity and communication. Expert workshops and team development sessions with Hulya Mehmet.
For over two decades, I’ve worked with families, schools, and professionals to help children communicate more clearly — and be understood more deeply. I believe that when we improve communication, we don’t just change language… We change lives.
I’m a Consultant Speech and Language Therapist, speaker, thought leader, and author of the upcoming book Is It Autism or Late Talking? I specialise in child development, neurodiversity, and behaviour — and my mission is to bring clarity, compassion, and confidence to the way we support children who communicate differently.
This work is about more than speech. It’s about belonging, relationships, and emotional wellbeing. That’s why I do what I do.
I’ve seen what happens when a child is misunderstood. When they’re labelled too quickly. When they’re left on a waitlist. When their parents feel judged or blamed.
I’ve also seen the transformation that happens when the right questions are asked. When adults begin to listen more closely. When we stop rushing to fix, and start building connections.
Whether I’m working one-to-one, speaking to a room of 500, or consulting with a national organisation,
I approach communication with the same three principles:
I translate clinical knowledge into practical, understandable strategies.
Behaviour is communication, and communication starts with relationships.
I consider the whole child, the family context, and the system around them.

In 2019, I completed formal training as a Leadership Coach at the University of Cambridge (Institute of Continuing Education). This training deepened my work beyond clinical practice — equipping me to support not only children and families, but also the adults leading change in homes, classrooms, schools, and organisations.
Leadership isn’t just about decision-making — it’s about connection, clarity, and communication. Whether you’re a parent guiding your child, a headteacher managing a team, or a professional shaping systems, I help you lead more effectively by transforming the way you listen, speak, and respond.
When communication improves, leadership becomes more impactful — and relationships become stronger.
I work with individuals, schools, trusts, and organisations who are committed to improving communication outcomes for children. This may include keynote speaking, strategic consultation, media appearances, or high-level advisory work.
If you’re ready to rethink communication in a deeper, more transformative way — I’d love to hear from you.
